WHAT?

The Great City Hall Tune-In and The Great County Center Tune-In marketing campaign is an Awareness Week being convened to promote public awareness of the live televising of City Council and County Board of Supervisors meetings in local communities.

WHO?

The States of California and Nevada Chapter of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (SCAN/NATOA) is the sponsor of The Great City Hall Tune-In.   

WHEN?

The Great City Hall Tune-In and The Great County Center Tune-In Awareness Week will be convened from April 2-6, 2001.

WHERE?

Cities and Counties throughout California and Nevada will be participating for the third year and NATOA Member Cities and Counties across the nation are invited to participate in this year's marketing campaign.

WHY?

By raising awareness of the availability of televised City Council and County Board of Supervisors meetings in many local communities -- as well as the importance of these meetings to one’s daily life -- The Great City Hall Tune-In and The Great County Center Tune-In will encourage viewers to "Tune-In" to watch these meetings for the first time or more frequently. This, in turn, will encourage a higher level of involvement in local policy and decision-making, as well as greater participation in local elections.
